Dr. Michael Cohen has been in practice since 1994. He graduated from the six-year medical education program at Boston University and received his medical degree in 1989. He completed his medical internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1990, his dermatology residency at UCLA Medical Center in 1993, and a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Boston Medical Center in 1994. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Cohen specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for the removal of facial skin cancers and has a particular interest in facial reconstruction. He performs approximately 1,000 skin cancer surgeries a year and has performed over 10,000 surgeries in his career. He is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
