Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I was born with a cleft lip and was around hospitals and medical professionals at an early age, and always thought the medical profession was for me. I chose to pursue a career in medicine after shadowing my aunt, who was a surgical resident. I spent many weekends with her in the hospital. She introduced me to a physician assistant, and I thought that was a perfect career fit for myself. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family, hiking, reading and shopping.
