Dr. Lavey is the only radiation oncologist in the Southwestern United States who specializes in treating children. He holds leadership positions in the National Cancer Institute - sponsored Children's Oncology Group and Southwest Oncology Group, as well as the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He is a past-President of the Los Angeles Radiological Society. After serving 6 years on the faculty of UCLA, his practice has been dedicated to treating children with cancer since 1995.
