Dr. Gelb has been practicing medicine since 1986 and became board certified in 1988. He became board certified in Hand Surgery in 1994. Dr. Gelb attended medical school at New York Medical College and graduated in 1980. He served an internship specializing in surgery and completed his residency at New York Medical College. He was fellowship-trained at Jefferson Medical College (Thomas Jefferson University) from 1985-1986. Dr. Gelb is a Qualified Medical Examiner. He has presented nationally and published numerous articles about orthopaedics and hand surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, California Medical Association, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Western Orthopaedic Association. He is actively involved in research.
