Dr. Padilla has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in San Diego since 1995. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a sub-specialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Padilla attended undergraduate school at Pepperdine University receiving a B.S. degree in Sports Medicine. At the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) he pursued graduate studies in Kinesiology as well as his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Padilla has a long resume of athletic accomplishments. He was a Division 1 two-sport athlete in Swimming and Waterpolo competing in the NCAA Championship Final Four, a 5x finisher of the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon National Champion, and 5x member of the USA Triathlon Team.
