Dr. Ruben received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, magna cum laude, in 1967. He then earned his medical degree from George Washington University in 1971. He completed his internship in 1972 at the University of Pittsburgh and his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at Magees Women's Hospital in 1975.
Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ruben has also received special training in high-risk maternal and fetal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ob/Gyn and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Ruben's professional credentials also include membership in the Fairfield County Medical Association, the Danbury Medical Society, the American Fertility Society, the Fairfield County Ob/Gyn Society and the North American Menopause Society. Dr. Ruben began practicing with Physicians for Women in 1977.
