Doctor Siegel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine from 1981 to 1990. Doctor Siegel completed his Internship and Residency at The Ohio State University Hospitals. He also did a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at The Ohio State University Hospitals. His Board Certification includes Diplomat of National Board of Internal Medicine (1993) and Re-certification of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2004.
