Dr. Rood was a 1981 graduate of The Ohio State University and attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati. He completed his residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland in 1988 and was Chief Resident in his final year. His is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, has served on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, and is a former President of the Northeast Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. A resident of South Russell since 1988, Dr. Rood has four daughters who all attended the Chagrin Falls School District.
