Dr. Adams received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. She joined Wadena Medical Center in 2000, when she completed her residency in family practice at McKennan and Sioux Valley Hospitals in Sioux Falls, S.D. She is board certified in family practice, which means she has fulfilled the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and has passed examinations that accredit her in the field of family practice. Dr. Adams is a native of Perham. She chose to begin her practice in Wadena because she wanted to return to a small town and be near family. Dr. Adams especially likes the small-town atmosphere at Wadena Medical Center, where she gets the opportunity to know the patient and their family. What she enjoys most about being a family practice doctor is being able to take care of the whole family. “I especially enjoy watching the children grow,†she added.
