She attended the University of Kentucky, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine and studied Chemistry for her undergraduate degree.Dr. Mwamukonda is fellowship\-trained in microsurgery with extensive experience in vasectomy reversals; microscopic spermatic cord denervation for chronic testicular pain; plaque incision and grafting for Peyronie's disease; and penile prosthetics, including complex revision procedures.Dr. Mwamukonda proudly served 23 years in the U.S. Army, going from the rank of Private to Colonel and from the title of heavy equipment mechanic to urologist.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, gardening, and whitewater rafting.
