Jonathan Velasco, MD, FACS, is a board\-certified and fellowship\-trained vascular surgeon. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), which identifies surgeons who have passed a thorough evaluation of both professional competence and ethical fitness.Board\-certified physicians are credentialed by a board of their peers that has determined the provider demonstrates a high level of expertise in their field. Fellowship\-trained providers have additional specialized training after their residency training that is required for a medical license.In his spare time, Dr. Velasco enjoys playing golf, hiking, running, and camping.
