Dr. Carpenter has more than 12 years of experience in psychiatry with specialty in child and adolescent psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he completed additional training in Health Policy and Advocacy. He completed his child and adolescent fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. In 2017, he was a finalist for the Cincinnati Business Courier's Healthcare Hero for improving the quality of Cincinnati healthcare through his patient care mission. He has an interest in patient education and the art of psychiatric medication - connecting neurobiology with the human experience.
