Brief Intro

When did you join Illinois CancerCare? 1994 Illinois CancerCare Clinic Affiliations Peoria, Galesburg, Monmouth Family? I am originally from Madawaska, Maine, and now live in Peoria with my family. I am the proud father of two lovely, albeit precocious, children: Sabrina and Sebastian. Hobbies/Interests? I like to run marathons, bike, play the guitar and piano, and I love to read about science and history, especially the American Revolution. What medical change has impacted the field of cancer the most since you began practicing medicine? Targeted therapies are the biggest change I have witnessed in oncology. Why did you choose oncology? I chose oncology for the research and scientific aspects.” Why did you choose Peoria, Illinois, to practice when you could have gone anywhere in the country? My former boss trained with my current partner, John Kugler, so I came to Peoria. Do you have any advice to give patients after they have been diagnosed with cancer? My advice to patients with cancer: enjoy today, take one day at a time, and love your life.
