Dr. Carl Soderstrom opened his private practice in Morton, IL in 1973 and has been treating central Illinois patients for more than 35 years. He is board certified in dermatology and internal medicine. He grew up in Streator, IL, and attended the University of Illinois where he received his medical degree. After an internship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Soderstrom completed residencies at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, in both internal medicine and dermatology. He is on the active staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and Methodist Medical Center and is assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Dr. Soderstrom is a member of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association Board of Directors and serves as chairman of both the O’Leary Society (the society for Mayo Clinic dermatology alumni), and the Mayo Clinic Leadership Council for Alumni Philanthropy. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Soderstrom and his wife, Cris, live in Morton and have five sons.
