He then earned his Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, with training in public health approaches in preventing cardiovascular diseases at an early stage. Dr. Murthy later worked as a research fellow in the cardiac MR PET CT program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Magnolia Regional Health Center/Baptist Healthcare, Memphis, TN. Dr. Murthy then finished an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship specializing in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT at the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. Dr. Murthy was also appointed Assistant Professor at Wright State University.In his spare time, Dr. Murthy enjoys spending time with his kids and family, traveling, and cooking.
