Dr. Carl Gjertson is trained in using the da Vinci® S Surgical System, a robotic technology which enables surgeons to perform minimally invasive prostatectomies, hysterectomies and heart surgery. Dr. Gjertson completed his surgical internship and served as a resident in the Department of Urology at New York - Presbyterian Hospital. He also served as a fellow in laparoscopy and endourology at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. Dr. Gjertson is a member of the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the Endourological Society, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American Urological Association.
