Dr. Anbari graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA where he excelled in his studies and received the prestigious John W. Lachman Award in Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his training in Orthopedic Surgery at Temple University Hospital. He distinguished himself in scientific research and published multiple manuscripts. He also received the first place research award from the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Anbari completed a subspecialty fellowship in Sports Medicine, Shoulder Reconstruction and Cartilage Restoration at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. There, he acted as an assistant team physician for the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls. He has authored over 20 book chapters and research papers on shoulder and knee arthroscopy and cartilage transplantation. Dr. Anbari has special training in the latest techniques of shoulder, hip and knee arthroscopy, ligament and tendon reconstruction and repair, cartilage restoration and replacement. He is the team physician for the CT Sun WNBA team, Norwich Free Academy, Bacon Academy, Lyman Memorial, Ledyard High School, Montville High School, Saint Bernard School and U Conn Avery Point.
