Dr. Amit Lahav is a board certified orthopedic surgeon known amongst his patients for his superb surgical skills as well as his outstanding bedside manner. He is proficient in arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive total joint replacement surgery, including computer navigation and robotic-assisted surgery. He has a special interest in state-of-the-art surgical technology to provide more accurate and precise results in joint replacement. Dr. Lahav is currently a member of the Active Attending Staff at Connecticut's Milford Hospital, where he has introduced a number of innovative ideas for orthopedic care. He has authored numerous articles, lectured at several national medical conferences, and currently hosts a TV medical program called Health Care from the Hill on Citizens TV in New Haven County. He serves on the Connecticut State Medical Society Aspects of Sports Medicine Committee and in 2011 was awarded the prestigious Milford Hospital Outstanding Physician for Clinical Excellence Award. After earning his bachelor's degree in Engineering at Cooper Union, Dr. Lahav graduated from New York's prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1998 and served as Chief Resident in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He also completed two fellowships at the University of Utah, Orthopedic Sports Medicine/Arthroscopy and Adult Joint Reconstruction Surgery. He served as a visiting instructor at the University of Utah and an attending staff member in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration Medical Center.
