Brief Intro

Amy found her calling for nursing during her experience being hospitalized at Bronson as an adolescent.“I had the best care at Bronson, and it was in that moment I knew I wanted to impact someone else in the same way,” says Amy.Since then she has spent over 20 years working in a hospital setting in various positions including unit clerk, patient care assistant, nurse and now a family nurse practitioner. Her passion for providing care to patients in the acute care setting motivated her to become a nurse at the highest level.Amy enjoys learning new things each day and applying the knowledge she gains to the way she provides care. Her desire to learn new things contributes to the wide range of interests she has in her field.In her free time, Amy enjoys helping at the public schools, spending time outdoors, traveling to new places and the animals on her hobby farm.My goal is to help every patient feel heard and supported as they walk through possibly one of their most difficult times dealing with the stress of hospitalization. I enjoy getting to know each patient and their individualized needs so I can better care for them. By using the best evidence-based practice and clinical expertise, I will provide high-quality care and produce positive patient outcomes. By maximizing resources and other supports will help ensure patients have a therapeutic and healing inpatient experience.
