Brief Intro

Susan Starr is an Advanced Certified Oncology Nurse Practitioner and a licensed Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist with a BSc in Nursing from USC and a Masters in Nursing from UCLA. She has been a Nurse Practitioner with our Oncology practice since 2008. In addition to her internships at the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center, City of Hope and Cedars-Sinai, she previously worked as an oncology nurse at St. John’s Health Center for five years and as the Nurse Manager at a surgical center in Beverly Hills for three years. Before her career in nursing she was the assistant marketing manager for a TV station in Orange County during which time she received a BA in Communications. She is committed to incorporating Integrative Oncology into the Hunt Cancer Center as she is passionate about the importance of utilizing mind/body practices and lifestyle modifications in conjunction with conventional cancer therapy. She loves traveling, cooking and finds great enjoyment in being creative in the kitchen with a focus on healthy eating. Susan lives in Venice, California with her husband Jason Starr who is an Acupuncturist.
