First off I like helping people, I always have. I also like problem solving. Medicine has been my passion for over 30 years. I don't even think of it as a job, it's just what I do.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
Maintain a global overview of all the patient's health concerns. Include the mind and body as one. Realize how all the different parts of a person's healthcare affect each other.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
My job is my hobby, but I also love spending time with my family. I have a beautiful wife of 25 years and two amazing teenage boys. We like to go boating, travel, ride ATVs and motorcycles. I also participate in competitive shooting competitions.
