I grew up in Shanghai, China. After obtaining my MD degree from Shanghai Medical University, I came to the United States to continue my graduate study. I received my PhD degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, and then completed residency and fellowship training at UCLA Medical Center. My specialty training includes general surgical pathology, as well as gastrointestinal and liver pathology. I am board certified in both anatomical and clinical pathology.
