A graduate of Oberlin College and Dartmouth School of Medicine, Dr. Shafer completed his residency at the Lancaster PA General Family Practice Residency Program. He came to Townshend in 1984 and maintained his own practice until he and his staff became Grace Cottage employees in 2003. Dr. Shafer is Board Certified in Family Practice and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.
