Brief Intro

Dr. Taryn Silverstein is originally from Miami but was raised here in Wellington. She attended undergraduate school at Washington University in St. Louis where she obtained her degree in Anthropology and completed a pre-medical curriculum. During her junior year, she was lucky enough to study abroad in Sydney Australia, this was followed by a year moving across the southeastern US doing service projects with AmeriCorps NCCC. She then returned to South Fla to attend Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and subsequently spent 7 years at the University of Massachusetts completing her training in internal medicine, serving as chief resident and completing her fellowship in gastroenterology. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Silverstein initially became interested in gastrointestinal diseases in childhood as her brother was diagnosed with Crohns disease at young age. Her passion has only grown since that time and she continues to enjoy caring for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal disorders. In her free time, Dr. Silverstein is interested in nutrition and yoga. She also loves to dance, paint, travel and spend time with her wonderful husband and two sons.
