Dr. Susan A. Barr a native Arkansan attended medical school at UAMS. While there she received the Susan Campbell Rector Memorial Scholarship Award for an outstanding senior female medical student entering the field of obstetrics and gynecology. She went to St. Louis University for residency as as as her advanced training (fellowship) in urogynecology. After being on faculty at St. Louis University for two years she returned to UAMS to develop and launch the Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2018 she moved to become part of the CHI St. Vincent Medical Group one of the state's largest multi-specialty physician networks.
