Steven D. Shapiro, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who specializes in multiple laser procedures, reconstructive skin cancer surgery and the latest in cosmetic and dermatological procedures. Dr. Shapiro received his degree in medicine from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School. His internship in Internal Medicine was completed at Hahnemann University followed by his residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine where he currently is a volunteer Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and a member of the Residency Advisory Board. Dr. Shapiro is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is an active member of the American Society of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Dermatology, the Florida Society of Dermatology, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, International Society of Police Surgeons and the Palm Beach County Medical Society. He is Chairman of the Board for Healthcare Underwriters' Group (HUG), a physician owned medical malpractice company. Dr. Shapiro performs various clinical and FDA studies for 'repair' of skin conditions including photorejuvenation and tissue tightening. He is an expert commentator for various television stations.
