Dr. Gonzalez-Vallina brings a specialized training in hepatology and nutrition to our practice. An intensive fellowship at the University of Chicago Department of Pediatrics preceeded a Board Certification in Pediatrics. He is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Gonzalez-Vallina has received many honors including academic awards for outstanding clinical performances, as well as community service awards from the City of Miami. His publications include topics such as pediatric liver transplantation, Menetrier's disease, and acute renal failure in the newborn.
