I grew up and went to medical school in Connecticut. After residency, I spent 21 years in the Navy Medical Corps in many different areas and roles. In 1993 I came to San Diego to be director of the internal medicine residency program at the Naval Medical Center. When I retired from the Navy in 2000, I was fortunate to be able to join Kaiser Permanente and continue practicing cardiology in beautiful San Diego.
