Brief Intro

Born in New York and raised in Boston, Massachusetts Dr. Rich received a B.A. degree in Biology and Biochemistry from Cornell University and an M.D. degree from the New York Medical College where he was graduated first in his class and was named to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society. His Internal Medicine residency was served at U.S. Naval Medical Centers in Bethesda, Maryland and Portsmouth, Virginia. He completed his military service at the rank of Lieutenant Commander having received multiple service awards and honors. His Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship training was obtained at the Yale University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Rich has a special clinical interest in the management of solid tumor malignancies as well as clinical research trials. He believes that all relevant clinical, social, and personal aspects of a patient's life and illness must be considered to allow for truly individualized health care decision making. He is married with three children and remains an avid New York Giants fan.
