Background In general, I offer a full range of obstetric and gynecologic services and I have a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and treatments that replace surgery. Prior to attending medical school, I earned a bachelorâ€™s and masterâ€™s degree in Nutrition Science and continue to promote preventative and health care maintenance as the basis from which I practice medicine today. Currently, I am promoting minimally invasive procedures that can be done in the office which provide you more comfort and familiarity, quicker recovery, and more safety than the standard hospital based operating room procedures. The first of these procedures is a global endometrial ablation technique, which is an alternative to a hysterectomy by using the Hydrotherm Ablator technique for those of you who have the unfortunate problem with heavy bleeding and fibroids. The second procedure is a hysteroscopic tubal occlusion procedure for those who want sterilization. In addition, for those of you who require a hospital based operation, I am promoting minimally invasive alternatives through a minilaparotomy technique or laparoscopy, which will allow you to recover more quickly than the standard operations commonly done in the community. My hometown is San Rafael and I feel very fortunate to have been able to return here to practice medicine.
