Shoaib Khan, DMD – Chicago Area Restorative and Cosmetic Dentist Dr. M. Shoaib Khan is a new resident of Illinois. He recently moved to the Chicago area with his wife and daughter from Boston. Dr. Khan began his dental education in Pakistan, where he graduated with his Bachelors in Dental Surgery and received three gold medals for his academic achievements. He was immediately accepted to residency in advanced general dentistry. His quest for higher learning brought him to the United States and he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University. A committed lifelong learner Dr. Khan has since spent significant time and resources each year to seek out leaders in the different disciplines in dentistry. He currently is attending a two year fellowship program at the esteemed Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona: a premier dental education facility which has managed to gather the top names in the profession from all disciplines, under one roof. He also holds memberships with The Chicago and Illinois Dental Society, The American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Khan brings to our practice some dynamic and exciting new services such as Invisalign and cosmetic oral surgical procedures. He also brings training and expertise from some of the best minds in the dental industry today. He derives great satisfaction in bringing the best modern day dentistry to his patients and believes in uncompromising and compassionate care. Something most people will note at their very first visit with him. Attention to detail and listening to his patient are his core practice values, spending time to get to know his patients and their dental needs and formulate treatment recommendations tailored to their individual needs. He places great emphasis on preventive dental care monitoring his patients to spot patterns of breakdown and recommending corrections to prevent problems before they start to manifest themselves. Dr. Khan is also a great proponent of minimally invasive dentistry and prefers modalities that stress the maintenance of natural healthy smiles. In his spare time Dr. Khan likes to spend time with his 14 month old daughter. He is also a self proclaimed "techie" in both his personal and professional life and likes to keep up with the latest innovations. Recently in the company of Dr. Knupp, he has also become a budding photography enthusiast, taking his photography skills beyond dentistry into his personal life. He feels he has found a great home in Illinois and looks forward to helping his patients to uncover the full potential of a healthy and radiant smile.
