About Us
Michael J. Ruelf was born and raised in TampaBay. After graduating from Dixie Hollins Highschool in St. Petersburg, he attended Emory University and received a BA in Chemistry. Dr. Mike completed Emory Dental School and enlisted in the U.S Navy. He worked as a dentist for 3 years in Millington, TN where he was stationed. As a post-graduate, he studied Pediatric Dentistry at LSU in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Mike settled back in Tampa in 1984 where he has been in practice for 23 years. He is currently completing his Board Certification status in Pediatric Dentistry.
When Dr. Mike isn't practicing dentistry he can be found swimming, running or biking. Swimming has played a large part in his life. He has recently rejoined the U.S. Masters Swimming Association and is a member of the National Tri-Athlete Association. He enjoys all outdoor sports including mountain hiking, skydiving, and fishing (although he never claims to be a fisherman!).
Dr. Mike gives back to his community in numerous ways. He extends his practice to RCMA and state-funded health programs for children who may not have had the opportunity to receive dental health care. Throughout the years he has provided Dental Health Education to local childcare facilities, elementary schools and hospital-based family programs. Dr. Mike is also a proud supporter of youth sports and athletic organizations.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to help your child enjoy a positive experience at every visit. We understand that each child needs individual attention and may need a little extra patience and care. Â
