Kathleen Stone, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN with more than 25 years of experience. Dr. Stone has served the women of the Johnson County community for much of her career. Her special interest in medicine is adolescent gynecology and the correction of pelvic pain. her professional contributions, Dr. Stone has donated substantially of both her time and expertise for activities ranging from Girl Scout leadership to directing international medical missions and has been recognized for these efforts. She has taught laparoscopic surgery techniques in many countries across the world, is a frequent lecturer and presenter on women's health issues and has special expertise in the care of sexual assault/abuse victims, as well as in all areas of pregnancy and gynecological care for women of varying ages. Dr. Stone has served in numerous professional leadership roles including a past appointment as medical staff president at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where she also served on the Board of Directors. her practice, Dr. Stone has also been a clinical assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her OB/GYN residency at Truman Medical Center.
