Lisa M. Unruh, M.D. obtained a B.S. in Biology from Kansas State University in 1999. She then studied advanced microbiology and hematology at Wichita State University while completing her pre-med intership. In 2001, she entered medical school at the University of Kansas. While there she developed an interest in pediatric rheumatology, serving as a summer fellow in rheumatology in 2002 and working as a sub-intern in the Lupus Center at St. Thomas Hospital in London in 2006. After graduation in 2006, Dr. Unruh entered a three-year Pediatrics Residency at the Children's Hospital in Macon, Georgia.
