Dr. Foster joined Somers Orthopaedic Surgery in 1994, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is affiliated with Putnam Hospital Center, Northern Westchester Hospital Center and the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. Dr. Foster presently serves on the faculty at the New York University School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Foster attended Cornell University and received a BA degree in Biological Sciences. He earned his medical degree in 1988 at Columbia University's College of Physician and Surgeons in New York. He served his residency in orthopaedic surgery at New York University-Hospital for Joint Diseases and went on to complete a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Foster is a member of numerous medical societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Medical Association.
He is the author of Dr. Divot's Guide to Golf Injuries-A Handbook for Golf Injury Prevention and Treatment.
