Brief Intro

My wife, Susan, and our three children, Scott, Kristin, and Craig, settled in Orange County when I began private practice in orthopedic surgery in 1977. As one of the senior orthopedists in South Orange County, I have experienced many changes in medicine. I feel that our orthopedic group continues to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. Our group has been instrumental in the development of clinical pathways to ensure the quality and efficiency of care in the Memorial system. In April of 2002, our Orthopedic practice moved into a new facility with state of the art digital X-ray. We occupy the entire second floor with 15,000 sq ft of space. The areas of my particular interest are in hip, knee and shoulder. I am Board Certified, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and a member of the Arthroscopic Association of North America. I am an active member in the American Medical Association and the California Orthopedic Association. I have been a Team Physician and Orthopedic consultant at Santa Margarita High School since the school's inception in 1987. I recently just completed a two year tenure as Chief of Orthopedics at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center(2000-2002). I also served in this capacity in 1983.
