After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Dr. Lautersztain completed residencies in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York, Anatomical Pathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and Clinical Pathology at John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed fellowships in Internal Medicine at John Hopkins University School of Medicine and Oncology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He holds Board certifications in Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Dr. Lautersztain describes clinical trials as “invaluable” in advancing medicine to better understand how to augment the immune system to fight cancer. He is actively involved in clinical trial research and has authored numerous articles and presentations.
