J. Mark Reed, MD, FAAP, FACS is a Jackson native. After completing his undergraduate education at Mississippi College, he finished his medical education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Louisiana-Mississippi Ophthalmological-Otolaryngological Society Award and the Merck Book Award. He proceeded to complete residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Reed then completed a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Childrens Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio and returned here to become the first Pediatric Otolaryngologist in the State of Mississippi. His practice is limited to the care and treatment of children. He has great interest and expertise in the diagnosis and management of airway abnormalities and other diverse head and neck problems in children. He and his wife, Cathy, reside with their daughters in Jackson, MS.
