Dr. John Svendsen
Periodontist, ractice Coordinator
Dr. Svendsen loves Arkansas and its people. Having grown up near the banks of the Buffalo River he spends most of his free time enjoying the great outdoors kayaking, hiking and seeking out old homesteads and ghost towns. With six children, Dr. Svendsen and his wife Lisa also get to spend a lot of time tending to the needs of their children -- the many family calamities encounter in life only helping to strengthen their love for one another.   Nearly always upbeat and positive Dr. Svendsen's commitment to family and friends brings a warmth and charm to dentistry that is often lacking in today's busy world.Â
Dr. Svendsen has a level of training and experience that is simply astounding.  In fact, there is probably no dentist in Arkansas more qualified to provide you and your family with the highest level of care. In addition to a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry he has graduate degrees in both Oral Biology and Medical Informatics. He has also completed a 3-year study for certification required by American Academy of Periodontolgy and has over 10 years of post-graduate dental training and education. Even today he continues to attend school and is currently attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to pursue graduate studies in Environmental and Historical Hydrogeology. He has published many articles and has lectured extensively throughout the United States and Canada. As you might expect he has also held many faculty appointments -- most currently as Associate Professor at the University of Arkanas for Medical Sciences.  And although his bookcases and hallways are lined with diplomas, awards, plaques and letters of appreciation, Dr. Svendsen is still a country boy at heart -- plain, simple and friendly.Â
