Dr. Burnette earned his undergraduate degree from The Citadel and continued to the Medical University of South Carolina for his medical degree. He served his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. After a fellowship at Orthopaedic Hospital in Los Angeles, Dr. Burnette served 6 months in Iraq, and 6 years at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, finishing as Chief of the Orthopaedic Surgery Service. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Burnette is married and has three sons.
