After losing a close family member to a congenital defect in his childhood, Dr. Wilson always knew he wanted to pursue a medical career. He studied Biology at State University of New York at New Paltz, and then completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where he became intrigued with neurosurgery.
Dr. Wilson completed his neurosurgical residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed a Neurointerventional Fellowship at Case Medical Center.
Following residency, he completed additional Cerebrovascular and Skullbase Neurosurgery Fellowship training at Goodman and Campbell Brain and Spine, Indiana University in Indianapolis. During this time, he also served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a physician and neurosurgeon, eventually leaving the Reserves at the rank of Major.
Dr. Wilson focuses on a wide-range of restorative neurosurgery, including cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery, stroke, cranial neurosurgery, spine surgery and neurotrauma. He enjoys that Neurosurgery provides a constant challenge and affords the opportunity to positively impact patients and families.
