Cyril T. Sebastian, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital who has been practicing medicine for more than twenty years. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is fellowship-trained in spinal surgery.
Sebastian completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard University before attending Tufts University Medical School to earn his medical degree. Upon graduation, he began a rigorous six year residency in neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Prior to specializing in spinal surgery, Sebastian served in the United States Navy for four years. He was the Department Head of Neurosurgery at the US Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan and later a staff neurosurgeon and assistant professor in surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. After his military service, Sebastian was accepted to Stanford University’s School of Medicine’s elite spine surgery fellowship.
He has been practicing neurosurgery since 2001 and has been caring for patients in Texas since 2010. Sebastian treats many conditions including brain tumors, herniated discs, spinal stenosis and brain injuries. He offers advanced, innovative treatment options and procedures, including cervical fusion, spinal fusion and minimally invasive spine surgery.
