Meet Dr. Janiece Stewart or as many affectionately refer to as “Dr. J”, is an established and highly skilled Sports Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics physician practicing in St. Louis and the surrounding area for over 10 years. She is well-regarded in the community earning numerous accolades for her quality and patient-centered care. Dr. Stewart graduated from The University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and attended medical school at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, where she completed an Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency.​She also completed a competitive fellowship in Sports Medicine at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose, California. She is a respected researcher, assistant professor, and university lecturer. She has been a sub-investigator on numerous clinical trials throughout her medical career and is a highly sought-after speaker and presenter for medical conferences in her field. Her work has been published in professional journals including; The Sports Medicine Resource Manual and Peds-Study Board Review Course for Pediatrics. AN EXPERIENCED PHYSICIANShe served as the medical director for Apex Physical Therapy's concussion program and was the head team physician for Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville as well as several local high schools and junior colleges from 2010-2021. She has served as the team physician for other sports franchises including minor league baseball, Major League Soccer, American Basketball Association, and Olympic team trials.WITH THE HEART OF AN ATHLETEAs an avid lover of sports and former gymnast, volleyball player, and track runner, Dr. J has made it her mission to be involved with the care and nurturing of young and seasoned athletes both on and off the field through her exemplary practice of medicine and model leadership. As a result of growing up in a military family, she loves to travel and immerse herself in the surrounding culture. She also enjoys healthy cooking for and spending time with her friends and family.
