Dr. Stanley, a native of Virginia, earned his Bachelor of Arts from Guilford College, a Master’s in Biology from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). He completed a general practice residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and an endodontic residency at MCV in 1991. Dr. Stanley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics at MCV School of Dentistry and is certified by the American Board of Endodontists. He was one of the first in Virginia to introduce advanced microsurgical endodontic techniques, enabling exceptional care often in a single appointment. He also completed comprehensive training in implant dentistry through the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, the Atlanta Institute for Advanced Education, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Stanley regularly takes continuing education courses to stay abreast of the latest advances in endodontics.
