James Leiber, DO, is founder & medical director of New Regeneration Orthopedics of Florida. He is a former officer, physician, & educator in the Air Force for 11 years – including personal consulting physician to the vice president and president at the White House & former Assistant Clinic Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He is an Associate Professor at LECOM where he was full-time for 5 years & served as the co-creator of a medical school course in Integrative Clinical Nutrition. He has completed fellowship training in research, teaching, & curriculum development at UNC-Chapel Hill & is triple board-certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, Pain Medicine, & Family Medicine – as well as Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography. He has also completed The U of F FMA Leadership Academy for physicians.
Dr. Leiber focuses on Interventional Orthobiologics. As medical director of one of the longest-running Regenexx clinics & amongst the most experienced Regenexx affiliates, he is proud to be offering the nation’s most advanced non-surgical bone marrow concentrate & platelet procedures (PRP) for injuries & arthritis under image guidance utilizing ultrasound & fluoroscopy (X-ray).
He is the former program director & current senior instructor for the Not-For-Profit Interventional Orthopedic Foundation (IOF). He was the lead consultant for a large Brazilian healthcare network as they began clinical trials in BMAC & PRP procedures. He has authored various research & textbook publications & has been an invited speaker at medical conferences. Dr. Leiber was awarded the prestigious Emerging Leader Award by the AOF in 2005 & the Saunders Book Award for outstanding academic achievement in physiology/pharmacology in 1999.
He maintains medical licenses in FL & Grand Cayman. Dr. Leiber believes that the key to treatment is a collaborative relationship between doctor & patient & an understanding that every person & situation is unique.
