Dr. Jaime C. Gonzalez is a professional healthcare veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the Internal Medicine field. Over a decade ago, Dr. Gonzalez founded Medical Interventions in his quest to serve the Clermont community and its surrounding areas. Today he continues the great tradition of offering health and wellness services to those in need. Current professional membership affiliations include the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez comes from humble beginnings. He was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. His parental influences - his father was a minister and his mother was a teacher and a nurse - contributed to his advocacy to helping and healing people. He obtained his medical degree at the prestigious Universidad Central Del Este in Dominican Republic and completed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center, affiliated to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He later supplemented his base knowledge with a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from Brookdale Medical Center, affiliated to SUNY State University in Brooklyn, New York. Locally, Dr. Gonzalez has held several directorial positions including Lake-Sumter County Medical Society for two terms, Lake County Humane Society, and Clermont Health and Rehab Center for over 10 years. He has also been presented with several recognitions and awards by local organizations including Hospice of Lake and Sumter, South Lake Black Achievers, The Clermont/Lake County Lupus Support Group and Lake-Sumter Medical Society.
