He offers personalized, comprehensive, and state-of-the-art treatments for all knee conditions.Dr. Guterman received his undergraduate degree from the George Washington University, where he also attended medical school, graduating in 1983. He finished an internship and general surgery training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences before completing his orthopaedic surgery training in 1990, with a focus on total joint replacement, back and sports injuries, and trauma, at the University of Virginia Medical School, where he was also chief resident in orthopaedic surgery.Dr. Guterman has also received a fellowship studying bone and joint abnormalities. His research has resulted in numerous publications, presentations, and awards.As a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Guterman stays active in his field.
