Very busy interventional practice combining both coronary and peripheral interventions. Additionally involved in valvulopasty and closure of Patent foramen ovale and Atrial septal defects. I have a general cardiology practice as well as a clinical appointment with the Southern Illinois School of Medicine (Associate Professor). Am the Principal Investigator for many cardiac and peripheral trials (ie. Carotid stenting);
I trained as both a noninvasive (echo) and interventional fellow. I graduated from the University of Toronto in 1982 and had additional training at McMaster University and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. I was the director of the cath lab at Sunnybrook Hospital at the University of Toronto and then emigrated to the USA in 1992. I have been performing peripheral angioplasty since 1992 and am active in training MD's from around the USA these new skills.
