When thorough non-surgical options have failed, spinal surgery sometimes may be considered. Many successful low-risk spinal surgeries can be done minimally invasively, through a one inch incision or smaller. I consider about 70% of the spinal surgeries that I perform to be microsurgeries. I have performed about 5600 surgeries in my career (that's a lot!), and yes, experience does matter. We have first-class high-tech operating rooms with all brand new equipment at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. I am also adept at all the latest and most advanced spinal surgeries and techniques. Two things that I guarantee is that I always recommend to my patients what I would do for myself with straight forward understandable advice, and I will always give you plenty of time to speak to me and address all of the questions you want answered. I am also very conservative, only recommending spinal surgery to less than 20% of the patients I evaluate. So, if you have a spinal problem and want honest clear advice, I'm happy to help you out!
