What got me interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field: My initial interest in high school was led by career testing which showed I would be well suited with the health profession. I worked in hospitals for 9 years before medical school and enjoyed my experience caring for patients. I decided to be a family physician because it is a challenging field which allows ongoing relationships with patients.
